Liesel Botha CA(SA)

Liesel was born and raised in Grahamstown. She studied at Rhodes, and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2003 after completing articles at PricewaterhouseCoopers. After a brief secondment to PwC’s London office, Liesel decided to pursue her passion for travel and found that this was best achieved while living and working in the UK. In 2004 she joined Wolseley UK Ltd, the operating company of Wolseley plc, a leading distributor of heating, plumbing and builders' products to the professional market. After gaining valuable experience as Finance Manager (Controls & Compliance), she once again felt the bite of the travel bug and in May 2011 left the grey shores of England to embark on a 13 month round-the-world trip, collecting 19 extra stamps to her passport along the way. She returned home to blue skies, biltong and boerewors in June 2012 and joined the Department in September.

Liesel currently lectures Financial Accounting to third year students.
