Barend "Bennie" van Rensburg (1970)

Bennie van Rensburg, (graduated in Philosophy in 1971), died unexpectedly in
November 2008. He was one of Rhodes' first blind students, and went on to
read for an LLB at Stellenbosch.
Bennie was posted to the SA Embassy in Moscow by the Department of Foreign
Affairs, where he worked as Political Counsellor. He died at our appartment
in Moscow.
He is survived by myself - Catherine - (nee Mahoney, graduated 1977),
children, Willem and Claudia, and grandson Liam.
