Honours 2012
In 2012 we offer four Papers
- Advanced Ethnographic Research (Taught by Prof Chris de Wet and staff)
- Transnational Ethnographies/Identities (Taught by Dr Joy Owen)
- Medical Anthropology (Taught by Dr Penny Bernard)
- ICT 4 Development (Taught by Prof Robin Palmer)
Of varying length these Papers induct students into the postgraduate intellectual 'culture' of the department as they are encouraged to engage with contemporary local and global concerns.
As part of the Honours programme students produce an ethnographic project of approximately 60 pages in length on a topic of their choice under direct supervision and attention from their supervisor during the course of the academic year.
