FINANCIAL AID
Financial assistance can help you afford a Rhodes education.
Unfortunately there is no financial assistance available for foreign students.
On the second page of your application form, you are asked the question “Do you
require financial assistance from the University: (Yes or No)”. This question should be
given very serious consideration. Applicants should only indicate that they require
financial assistance if it is absolutely necessary and not “just in case” they get an
award. Applications for financial assistance are only considered if the gross family
income is below a certain level. This level is determined from year to year depending
on the amount available for financial aid.
Awards are based on your family's financial circumstances and your academic
performance. The information required by the selection committee will be based on
your application form, so a fully completed form is absolutely necessary. Financial
assistance takes the form of bursaries, loans and scholarships.
If finances are preventing you from studying, do not hesitate to apply for assistance
