Nathan Holm, a first year MSc candidate, visited Prof Kathy Myburgh’s lab at Stellenbosch University in October, 2018. Nathan’s research is based on differentiation of stem cells and the purpose of his research visit was to learn how to culture and differentiate a mouse skeletal myoblast cell line.  These cells rapidly differentiate into myotubes expressing characteristic muscle proteins. A special thanks to Prof Myburgh for making this research visit possible and Dr Kim Martin for helping Nathan in the laboratory. We look forward to continuing this collaboration in the future.
