During the November 2005 Teaching Block, Mr. Kevin Wakeford, CEO of the Eastern Cape Development Corporation, gave a stimulating presentation at a Business Forum. The subject of his presentation, was: "The Eastern Cape: Opportunities and Challenges".

- The Games Foxes play -
During the November 2005 Teaching Block, the world renowned Clem Sunter gave a presentation at a Business Forum, to the second and third year MBA students. His focus was "The Games Foxes Play" and his emphasis was Scenario Planning.

Reuel Khoza
- Africa's Business Leadership Challenge -
During the June 2005 teaching block, Mr Reuel Khoza, Chairman of Eskom and founding Chairman of Akacapital, gave a presentation on "Africa's Business Leadership Challenge" at a Business Forum attended by MBA students and members of the Rhodes and Grahamstown communities.

- Innovating a Market - from the JSE Trading Floor to the Sustainable Reporting Investment Index -
During the June 2005 Teaching Block, Ms. Nicky Newton-King, Deputy CEO of the Johannesburg Securities Exchange and winner of the "Business Woman of the Year" award in 2003, gave a Business Forum presentation on "Innovating a Market - from the JSE Trading Floor to the Sustainable Reporting Investment Index".

- Being an employer of choice -
During the January 2005 Teaching Block, Mr. Gordon Frazer, Managing Director of Microsoft (South Africa), winner of the 'best company to work for award' in 2004, gave a presentation at a RIBS Business Forum on "What it takes to be the best company to work for in South Africa".
Seen with Mr. Gordon Frazer (left) after the Business Forum presentation, is Professor David Sewry, Head of the Department of Information Systems. Mr. Frazer is a graduate of Rhodes having been a member of the very first Information Systems Honours class in the late 1980s.
