Currently at Rhodes University, community engagement can be categorised into four programmes, namely:

• SOCE- mainly by organised student’s organisations like societies, residences, clubs etc.
• SVP- mainly by individual students
• Outreach- mainly by academic departments, individual academics, institutions etc.
• Service Learning
