Sue Southwood

Sue has been in educational development for over 20 years. Her background is in Mathematics Education with a strong focus on professional development. Sue is passionate about developing spaces for learning with and between other professionals in the field of higher education. Her current research interests build on her doctoral work on collaborative approaches to professional development.

Sue’s work is strongly influenced by appreciative inquiry, a positive approach to development which builds on strengths to achieve professional goals. Sue coordinates and facilitates the Assessors’ Course, is the CHERTL MEd coordinator, supervises post graduate research in higher education and supports processes of evaluation.
