Learning Technologies Practitioner
Nompilo joined the Edtech team in CHERTL in January 2011, after teaching Computer Science for over 10 years, 6 of which were in the Extended Studies at Rhodes University. She is responsible for RUconnected, Turnitin, PGDHE Seminars and eLearning elective, ePortfolios, Open Educational Resources, OMR assessment and social media for learning.
Nompilo completed her MSc in Computer Science in 2001 at NUST and her PGDHE (Rhodes) in 2007, which opened her eyes to what teaching and learning really means and how to engage students in motivational, engaging, relevant and life-long learning.
Nompilo is passionate about web technologies and e-learning, and is currently involved in research involving ICTs and staff development.
