Johannesburg hosted the last Rhodes Alumni events for 2018.  Rhodes Chancellor, Judge Lex Mpati kicked off the events by hosting the Distinguished Alumni dinner, where Mr Xolani Maxwell Boqwana and Professor Emeritus Pat Terry received their 2018 Distinguished Alumni Awards.  Fellow 2018 Distinguished Alumni awardees, Dr Georgina Kemp and Dr Clive Shiff couldn’t attend the event and will be honoured at a later stage.

Following the awards dinner, the university hosted two events on the 23 November 2018, the legacy luncheon and the reunion in the evening.
