Sikelelwa Mgabadeli (1996)

Everyone will have a voice on TV' THE queen of radio is going to tackle big
issues on the small screen again! SAfm presenter Siki Mgabadeli will present a
10-episode current affairs show called The Big Debate.

The show will feature interviews about current affairs on SABC2. This new
programme will deal with issues like health, education, land reform and racism.
Caroline Phalakatshela of SABC2 said: "We are happy to have Siki Mgabadeli. We
will grapple with the most controversial issues and try to find solutions."

Phalakatshela told Sunday Sun that the show will travel the length and
breadth of South Africa, holding leaders to account and giving everyone a voice
- from government ministers to local activists and ordinary kasi residents. Siki
is a South African financial journalist, television presenter and producer.

She's best known for anchoring a variety of television and radio shows for
the SABC, such as Business at 10 on SABC3 and Market Update and Morning Talk on
SAfm. She obtained her honours degree in journalism at Rhodes University,
Sikelelwa Mgabadeli, popularly known as Siki, will present The Big Debate on
SABC2 studying there from 1997 to 2000.

She started her career in 2001 at the satellite business channel, Summit TV.
Siki covered daffy business and economic stories. She was also a part-time
presenter. The Big Debate airs on SAM from Sunday 3 February at 10pm.
