Great Work by 2016 Rhodes Nine Tenths Mentors

Date Released: Thu, 19 January 2017 15:41 +0200

Congratulations to the Rhodes Nine Tenths Mentors who worked with Grade 12 pupils from Mary Waters and Ntsika last year.  Your Mentees did you proud and performed well.  Of the 51 Bachelor passes in the Grahamstown East Schools, your pupils managed to get 35 of those (13 from Mary Waters mentees and 22 from Ntsika).  Vuyolwethu Zamani managed 5 Distinctions and was the highest performer in Grahamstown.  Monique Stock got 4 Distinctions.  The Grahamstown pass rate improved from 61.6% pass rate in 2015 to 72.8% pass rate in 2016 so you all made a difference!  We are very proud of you!  This year we will include Grade 12’s from Nombulelo SS.   Registration is open for 2017 mentors, we welcome new volunteers.
