Common Good First

The Common Good First Project is led by Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU), it is funded by the EU Erasmus+ programme with additional investment from the Scottish Government.  The Consortium comprises universities from Iceland, Norway, Denmark, Scotland, Spain, and South Africa, as well as the global network, the Social Innovation Exchange.

Social Innovation Definition: novel and creative solutions to social issues (such as poverty and unemployment) that goes beyond conventional and traditional solutions and is powered by the community or innovator’s own resources.

Criteria for project inclusion
- Solved a community challenge using local resources and novel ideas
- Participatory/collective process
- Must be transferable (replicate-able solution)
- Sustainable
