Community Engagement Student Awards 2010

Community Engagement Awards is an annual event which recognises honour and pay tribute to individual students, student organisations, academic departments, university residences and community partners who helped out throughout the year.

The guest speaker of the evening was the Dean of Students Prof V. de Klerk. The DOS made a very powerful speech on philanthropy of giving.

Over 300 Rhodes University students, ranging from 1st years to post-graduates, received recognition for their volunteering activities and special awards were presented to those who had gone over and beyond the call of duty:
