The Trading Post
The Trading Post Newsletter is an initiative that has vast potential to both practically assist schools to access much needed resources, and also assist the Grahamstown community to confront the education crisis in our town in a more co-ordinated manner. Importantly, the newsletter puts the schools themselves at the centre of the initiative as they are best placed to set the agenda and inform Grahamstown of what is needed to effect change. While some of the items requested or offered for donation on the Trading Post may be small and seem insignificant in the greater scheme of the education crisis, we believe that it will all help in building a “can-do” attitude, thus building social capital and where small successes lead to big successes. The newsletter comes out every month with a list of offers requests and success stories.
