The Chinese Society

At the conclusion of the second year of Chinese Studies at Rhodes University, student interest was rapidly increasing, and a library exhibition and our third annual China Week held during the fourth term of 2010, saw a considerable number of queries about the CIRU and what it offers. As the Chinese Studies course necessarily limits numbers of students, the Chinese Society will provide a means by which all students can join in. The Chinese Society is a platform for students to enhance their understanding of Chinese culture with a range of activities and events surrounding the rich language and culture of China.
