New Chair for CSD Management Committee

CSD is delighted to welcome Prof Jean Baxen as the new Chair of the CSD Management Committee.
Prof Baxen replaces Prof George Euvrard who served as chairperson on the management committee
for 10 years.

Prof Baxen has an outstanding publication record, both in journals and books and her doctoral work
focussed on factors that shape teachers' understanding of, experiences, and responses to HIV/AIDS.
She also has extensive experience and a keen interest in the ECD and Foundation Phase sector of
education. She is currently the Deputy Dean in the Education Faculty at Rhodes University.

CSD also welcomes Angie Marriner, Heidi van Niekerk and Robbie van Niekerk as new members of
the Committee.
