The Rhodes University Center for Social Development is pleased to welcome Mr. Ntsikelelo Kulati as the new Manager for Community Development. Mr. Kulati completed his Post Graduate studies in Law and Social Security at the University of Cape Town in 1999. Since then he has been working in community development first as Special Projects Manager for the Uitenhage Despatch Development Initiative (UDDI) a development arm of the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality. Later he moved to Johannesburg to work for Total Transformation Agribusiness (TTA) as Farmer Associations Development Manager in charge of WK Kellogg Foundation’s projects in the Southern African Development Community (SADC). Currently he is joining the CSD after working for various rural development NGOs based in Cape Town as a Local Economic Development Specialist and a Community Development Consultant. Among these NGOs is the Social Change Assistant Trust (SCAT) which has an extensive footprint in Eastern Cape Province through its work with Community Based Organizations (CBOs) or Local Development Agents (LDAs). Mr. Kulati is bringing a wealth of community development expertise and experience at the CSD as it celebrates its 30th year of existence this year.
