How do I get access for myself on Protea if I am an HOD?
Please fill in the New Users Protea Access form on the web under www.ru.ac.za/intranet. Please make sure that you complete the form yourself and that you provide all necessary information, including what access is required. Usual suggestions for an HoD are Class Lists and Reports, Honours Applications, Examination Results, Finances and Student Enquiries. Please allow a few hours for the DMU to process your request. You will receive an automated email with your log-in credentials when this has been processed. Installation of the connection program Putty can be done from the IT Software page http://software.ru.ac.za.
