What are my responsibilities as an HOD with regard to submitting staff FTE information?
It is your responsibility to ensure that a certain amount of reasonableness exists in the returned information. You are required to check that the lists provided have everybody on them and that a form is returned for each academic. You need to check for reasonableness in very broad strokes. For example, if an academic undertakes no research but puts down that they are doing 50% research, this is not reasonable. And vice versa for staff who are not teaching but indicate on the form that they are doing research and teaching.
