We call upon all of Rhodes University to take part in a photography competition, being held by the International Office.
The photographs will be judged by categories:
1. The best Traditional African Dress.
2. The best photo taken on a Rhodes University field trip.
3. The best photo taken by an International student in South Africa.
4. The best photo taken by a South African student travelling abroad.
5. The best photo from International Week at Rhodes (May 18th until AFRICA DAY May 25th).
6. The best photo that describes or represents Internationalisation at Rhodes University.
OUTRhodes in an attempt to create awareness will be conducting a photoshoot along the lines of the NOH8 campaign done in the USA. The aim is to H8 against H8 and discrimination of all forms.
This will be an amazing opportunity for Society's, individuals and groups to get involved as well as a bit of advertising on your part.
So if you and your Comm are Keen to come through to the photo shoot and support the fight against h8 please let us know.
The photoshoot will run from about 2pm in the AMM on Saturday the 12 May but if we know your comm is coming through we are more than happy to book you a specific slot.

RU Saving the Rhino (14-18 May 2012)
Organised by the SRC Environmental Councillor and student environmental groups at Rhodes University, Rhino Week at Rhodes University features informative events and action drawing attention to what can and is being done to save our rhinos from extinction.
•All Week (14-18 May 2012): Rhino Action Stations - Day Kaif (outside RU Library) and front of Drostdy Arch -
drawing attention to what can and is being done to save our rhinos. Sign the petition. Buy black ribbons, T-shirts, stickers (to raise funds for rhinos recovering from poaching), and get raffle tickets to win a game drive at Kariega Game Reserve, home of the courageous Thandi.
