On Wednesday the 30th of March Ruth First House, in conjunction with the Rhodes Health Suite will be hosting a 3-hour cyclathon running concurrently with a CANSA shavathon. The aim of this event is to involve as many members of the Grahamstown community as possible to raise awareness about cancer.

Wednesday 30 March
18h00 – 21h00

Rhodes Health Suite, African Street

Cyclathon participation is as follows:

• R300 - 6 person team with each member cycling for 30 minutes
• R200 person team with each member cycling for an hour or
• R150 Individual participation – one person doing a ‘marathon’ three hour cycle
• Getting you cycle sponsored is encouraged as it increases awareness and gets more people involved.

Shavathon participation is as follows:

• R50 to shave (R25 for students/scholars) and R25 to spray. 
• There is a bail-out fee of R50 to ‘avoid’ having your head shaved!

We all know someone who has battled cancer and many of us have lost friends and family members. This is our chance to honour them and make a small contribution to the race to cure cancer, so get involved!!
