We are inviting you to join us in a small group discussion on Re-telling Gender: African men’s stories. We want to have a discussion with eight African men on how they have come to learn to be a man. The group conversation will be recorded and with permission we will produce a DVD to be used for research, teaching and professional development purposes. The discussion is scheduled for Wednesday 27 July and will take approximately three hours. The project has the approval of the Ethics Committee of the Faculty of Education, University of Waikato, New Zealand. In 2007 we completed a similar project with P?keh? and M?ori men in New Zealand. The work produced many meaningful conversations and training opportunities for practitioners and participants in the project.
