The University regrets to announce that Anja (Ajaya) Jooste, a second-year Humanities student from Pietermaritzburg, was tragically killed in a car accident on Sunday evening, while travelling back to Grahamstown from Port Alfred. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her. We extend our sincere condolences to her family and friends.

Details of a  memorial service for Anja will be announced later.
