VIVIAN DE KLERK - DEAN OF STUDENTS
Dr Vivian de Klerk is the Dean of Students. In addition to her official commitments as Dean of Students, Prof de Klerk continues to publish in academic journals and is a B-rated scientist. The Dean of Students Division Office is situated in Room 241 in the Main Administration Building and Dr de Klerk can be contacted at dean.students@ru.ac.za
ROGER ADAMS - DEPUTY DEAN OF STUDENTS
Mr Roger Adams joined the Dean of Students Office after a highly successful tenure are Head of Rhodes Sports. Counselling, Careers, Sport, Student Services and the staff of the SRC report to him.
Roger also co-ordinates the university's response related to students with disabilities and with the assistance of the Student Services Officer he is working to ensure that all students have access to all the facilities that Rhodes offers.

LARISSA KLAZINGA - STUDENT SERVICES OFFICER
Larissa Klazinga is the Student Services Officer. As the Student Services Officer, she identifies student issues and interventions that will support Rhodes’ overall transformation strategy, these interventions include organising awareness weeks throughout the year to highlight issues like:
- - reposnsible alcohol use
- - sexual and gender-based violence
- - human rights
- - HIV and AIDS
- - Constitutionalism
- - African identity and
- - Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender issues.
She is also the Student anti-Harassment Officer. Contact her if you experience harassment, intimidation or victimisation based on race, gender, sex, pregnancy, ethnic or social origin, colour, sexual orientation, age, disability, conscience, belief, culture, language or health status.

SELENE WALTERS - OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR
Mrs Selene Walters is the DoS Office Administrator and in that capacity she is the face of our division. Selene ensures that students and staff are able to access the Dean of Students, managing the office diaries and generally keeping the office running smoothly.
Selene is also co-ordinating the Get Home Safe project, an initiative aimed at insuring that students are encouraged to drink responsibly and providing a safety net when things go wrong.
