Productions

Rhodes University Drama Department excels in a multidisiplinary and collaborative approach to theatre, producing wide range of work from plays to physical theatre, site specific work to community processes.

In the first semester [February - June] productions are staff directed with students from first year through to post-graduate levels working alongside seasoned professionals.

The second semester [July - December] postgraduate students from all disciplines mount productions for public and examination purposes.

Production standards are high and this is reflected by well attended performances.

Performances are often sold out, it is advisable to take advantage of our advance bookings facilities [usually available from two weeks prior to the first performance date].
