Sheila Hicks - Associate Editor

Sheila emigrated to South Africa from England in 1969. She has a BCom from the University of the Witwatersrand and a BA from UNISA.

She worked in the computer industry in Johannesburg for many years, on various projects ranging from systems analysis, design and programming to facilities and infrastructure support. Her interest in language started at a very early age, and she joined the Dictionary Unit for South African English in 2005.
