Dr Bruce Brown - BSc(Rand), HonsBSc, MSc(UNISA), PhD(UCT), MEd(Rhodes)

Bruce Brown has worked at Rhodes University since August 1989. He lectured in the Dept of Mathematics (Pure and Applied) from 1989 to 1997, moving to work at RUMEP (Rhodes University Mathematics Education Project) from 1998 to 2005, and has worked in the Dept of Education from 2006.

Growing out of his work with RUMEP and his interest in the professional development of Mathematics teachers, Dr Brown has been the convenor of the ACE coordinators’ committee in the Dept of Education since 2007. His other general interests are the teaching and learning of mathematics, mathematical modelling and cognition in action.
