Prof Pat Irwin - BA(Hons), UED, BEd, MEd(Natal), DEd(Unisa)

Professor Irwin was HOD from 1988 to 1995 and Dean of Education to 2000. He introduced environmental education to the Department and founded the Environmental Education Unit. He has been a major contributor to the present MEd format, as well as establishing many of the FDE partnerships.

Environmental Education, Philosophy Education, Science Education and Research Methodology.
Research Interests
Environmental education, research methodology, teaching & learning, evaluation, environmental interpretation and historical education, history of educational ideas.
