Ingrid Schudel
Lecturer
MEd (Rhodes)
Ingrid is a lecturer based at the ELRC. She started her studies in the sciences and then, through involvement in education at an environmental education centre on a nature reserve, continued her studies in environmental education. Her PhD research is focusing on how to realize the potential for environmental learning in schools and formal curricula. This interest is driven by a belief that environmental projects and explorations form a challenging context for critical engagement and quality learning processes, and that they can equip learners with the competence and confidence to actively re-imagine and experiment towards more sustainable people-environment relationships.
