Carbon wise
Human developments and activities - such as driving cars, using heating and cooling devices - produce large amounts of carbon. By reducing such activities, we can make a significant contribution to reducing greenhouse gases. Staff and students at Rhodes University are encouraged to initiate carbon-reducing activities in their everyday lives, both at an individual and a group level.
Get involved in the action:
- Start off by measuring your carbon footprint.
- Get climate wise.
- ACT at home and at work.
- Car Sharing.
- Cut Carbon by 90 percent by 2030 - follow their ACTION link to 'Climate Champions' to see innovative examples of individual, organisational, municipal and provincial action.
