Rhodes Organisation for Animal Rights
Rhodes Organisation for Animal Rights aims to raise awareness for animal rights, as well as to better the lives of animals within the Grahamstown community. It supports local groups such as the Grahamstown SPCA, Feral Cat Project and the Donkey Clinic. ROAR encourages more conscious eating habits, asserting that the way we eat affects not only the lives and wellbeing of animals, but our health and the environment too. Students are encouraged to participate in their weekly SPCA visits, and to get involved in Animal Rights Week in May each year.
