The following were held at Rhodes University, including Environmental Committee events, in 2008.

• 12-16 May 2008: SRC Environmental Week. 
• 5 June 2008: Makana and the Carbon Economy (relating to World Environment Day). Talk by Prof Keith Cowan.
• 14-25 July 2008: Swedish Global Training Programme (linked to the Environmental Education & Sustainability Unit).
• 31 July 2008: Running Dry. Call to Action (relating to Rhodes Water Week). Video & panel discussion.
• 1-6 September 2008: Indigenous tree planting. Arbor Week at RU.
• 18 September 2008: Keen to be Green. Step-into-Spring walk with guide.
• 15-17 October 2008: EMSU 2008 (Spain). Video-conferencing link.
• 16 October 2008: Food Shortage (relating to World Food Day). Video & panel discussion.
• 13 November 2008: Keen to be Green. Summer Saunter with guide.
