World Animal Day

World Animal Day celebrates all forms of animal life. It was first was held in in Italy on 4 October 1931, during the feast of Francis of Assisi, patron saint of animals and the environment.
All around the world, there are fundraising events and open days, information displays, donations to animal charities and animal blessings.
