Project 90 by 2030

Cut carbon, dare to change! is the slogan of Project 90 x 2030, which was established as a national project of the Goedgedacht Trust in July 2007. Their vision: the people of South Africa contribute to reduction of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 90% by the year 2030 - by changing the way they live. The project is a response to South Africa's extremely high level of GHG emissions per capita. Through organised groups, middle- and upper middle-class households (with the largest carbon footprint) will be encouraged to pay attention to the looming crises and act urgently, to ensure a sustainable future.
