DES Alumni at the World Bank

Shafiek Hoossein, a former Masters student in the dept, and who now works at the World Bank, is mentor to a new recruit.  Mercedes Stickler, who graduated with a Masters in Environmental Science in 2009 works in the Environment and Natural Resources Global Practice. Mercedes is mapped to the South Asia Regions, whilst Shafiek has completed his rotation to the Latin Americana and Caribbean Region.  After having to learn Spanish for this, he will now have to learn Arabic for a rotation to the Middle East and North Africa Region.  They are both part of the same project team for a regional Bank project in Pakistan, Bangladesh and India.
