Computer Skills

This is a year course aimed at equipping students with basic computer skills that they will use at university and in the workplace.  The main components of this course are:

• Computer components (hardware and software)
• Responsible usage of the Internet and e-mail
• Word processing for reports, essays, articles, etc.
• Spreadsheets - analysing and calculating data effectively
• Databases - efficient management of large amounts of data
• Web development using HTML and FrontPage
• Introduction to programming using Python
• Introduction to Information Systems
