Events

• First-year orientation camp - At the end of orientation week, the students, mentors and lecturers camp at Assegaai Hiking Trails for the weekend.  The emphasis is on team-building, information about the programme and making friends in a relaxed environment.

• Guest speakers - Representatives of the sponsoring companies, successful graduates of the programme, experts in specific subject areas.
• Prize giving - After the first examinations in June, students get prizes to acknowledge their achievements.
• Award ceremony - This is the flagship event of the year where successful students from the previous year are presented with certificates by the Vice Chancellor and are addressed by one of the prominent graduates. Guests include sponsors of the programme, Deputy Vice Chancellors, Deans, senior adminstrative staff and local business people.
• Presentation of business plans - The winning teams from the Business Skills course present their business plans to the Rhodes academic community.
