Q: What is the International Levy used for?
A. The International Levy is used to cover the International Office Salaries and running Grant. In addition 25% of the levy is set aside to assist needy students who fit certain criteria with loans and or bursaries to assist with their current years fees. The balance is utilised for the Universities infrastructure spend and maintenance.
Q. Some students are listed on the internal lists, but have not received a fee account. How is this possible?
A. These students are not academically registered yet and should be registered by the Dean. Once complete, accounts will be generated for the students.
Q. Charges to student accounts e.g. books etc. What is the last day that these charges can be raised in a particular year?
A. Normally by the 20th November, this may change depending if it is a working day or not.
Q. When should handout charges be sent to the Student Fees Office i.e. the deadlines?
A. First semester - end of April and second semester - end of August.
Q. Why was a student charged for the year even though they did not receive supervision?
A. We would need to refer back to the registration process.
Q. How can I calculate a students fees to assist with the calculation of how much they would need in funding?
A. Refer to the Schedule of Fees for the various charges, keeping in mind the charge for Oppidan and Foreign levy.
