Each year our graduating students present their practical studio art submissions as solo bodies of work in different exhibition venues around Grahamstown. The event is a highlight on the visual arts calendar and starts at 17h30 at the Main Art School galleries on Somerset Street, and proceeds from there as a self-guided art walkabout to other venues close by.
This year we present 21 solo exhibitions in and across the mediums of Printmedia, Photography, Painting, Sculpture, Digital Art, and Performance. Along with overarching themes of gender and identity, there are also creative investigations into the nature of memory, family, nationality, desire, and studies into the spaces and means in which we choose to construct our lives.
The exhibitions are on display for one night only – not to be missed!
