Welcome
Master of the Hall
Dr Brendan Wilhelmi
A very warm welcome to Founders’ Hall! I hope 2012 be a successful, fulfilling and purposeful year for all members of the Hall.
A special word of welcome to new students entering Founders’ for the first time. You are joining a Hall with a long history, proud traditions and many successful alumni. I hope that all of you will contribute in your own unique ways to making Founders’ an even better Hall for all its residents and for the future.
Founders’ Hall offers many opportunities for your full involvement in all spheres of House, Hall and University life. You should make full use of these, planning to do well in your academic studies, extramural activities of your House, Hall and University, and leadership positions.
Always be on the lookout for opportunities to get involved and contribute, whether this is in the House, Hall, University or wider community. Show initiative and interest and seek to do well through a commitment to excellence and wanting to achieve your goals. What you do in Founders’ and at Rhodes is very important to your future and so don’t delay in getting started. Finally, you are joining a diverse, interesting and enthusiastic community. You are requested to always “show tolerance, consideration and respect to others”.
I wish you all well and hope that you will achieve your goals. I am looking forward to working with everyone in the Hall and I have no doubt that it will be an enriching experience for all of us.
