Economic and Exploration Geology

This Department offers MSc degrees in Exploration Geology (by coursework and dissertation) and Economic Geology (some coursework and thesis). The MSc (Expl. Geol.) is geared for professional geologists who are in possession of a BSc (Hons) and have worked in industry for a minimum of two years prior to registering for the MSc, whereas the MSc (Econ. Geol.) requires an upper second class pass at Honours level but does not require previous work experience and is more research oriented.
