Exploration Geology Staff

Professor of Exploration Geology is Dr Yong Yao, and  he is mainly concerned with the department's postgraduate degrees in Exploration Geology and Economic Geology.

The M.Sc. Exploration Geology program is a uniquely diverse, yet detailed & intensive program in mineral resource geology, comprising a spectrum of course-work and thesis-related degrees.

Workshops are conducted by specialists from industry and from other universities, and extensive field trips to southern Africa's renowned mineral deposits form an integral part of the program.
