Over 1000 delegates had registered and a huge variety of talks were presented during 14 to 15 parallel sessions.
The most prominent topic areas included Organizational Management and Design, Work-related musculoskeletal disorders, Ergonomics in Safety and Health, Ergonomics in the Healthcare Sector, in Mining and Transport, just to name a few.
Other South African delegates included ESSA chairman Prof. Andrew Thatcher from WITS, Prof. John Smallwood from NMMU and Ex-HKE student Casey de Grey-Birch, now working for ErgoTech.
Dr Zschernack presented on cultural considerations in use of mobile telephones, and Professor Goebel expanded on western managerial styles in an African context (pictured below).
