HKE hosts Dr Miranda Armstrong

Date Released: Mon, 21 September 2015 13:35 +0200

A native Grahamstonian, Dr Amstrong completed her Honours degree in HKE at Rhodes before continuing her career at UCT, and then later, the University of Cambridge.

Miranda spoke about her current research interests, as leader of the programme on physical activity and health in the “Million Women Study”. Her interest extends to childhood physical fitness and nutritional status, and her research can be viewed at http://oxford.academia.edu/MirandaArmstrong .

It is always a pleasure to welcome an alumni to the department, as the experiences of others can teach current scholars a great deal. We thank Dr Armstrong for taking time out of her trip to South Africa to share her inspiring journey and research with us all.
