Wishing Tyrone Douglas Well

Date Released: Mon, 20 April 2015 14:44 +0200

Qualified as a Basic Life Support paramedic, Tyrone's passion is his life-saving work. For a number of years he has managed to fulfil his Technical Officer duties while assisting the paramedic services on weekends, in the hope that one day he might be able to move into full-time paramedic work.

His dream has come true and as of the end of May 2015 (after taking some hard-earned leave due to him!) Tyrone leaves us and HKE to take up a position with the Port Elizabeth Metro Emergency Services. In his new role he will be based in the Karoo region, between PE and Graaff Reinet, where paramedics are few and far between and Tyrone feels that this is an ideal location for him to really make a difference. In due course he hopes to qualify as an Intermediate and then Advanced Life Support paramedic.

Thank you for your years of service at HKE, Tyrone, and best wishes to you and your family as you take on this new adventure.
