Where is the DIFS?
The Department of Ichthyology and Fisheries Science (DIFS) is situated in the picturesque historical city of Grahamstown, South Africa. The DIFS is housed on the Rhodes University campus in buildings which date from Settler times.

Grahamstown mapTo get to DIFS you must:
- Take a left off the N2 immediately after passing the Settlers Monument.
- At the fist traffic lights turn left into Somerset Str. The University is now on your left.
- Proceed straight over the Stop street at the Drosdy Arch at the top of High Street.
- At the next four-way-stop turn left into Prince Alfred Steet.
- Turn immediately right into the first driveway opposite the Rhodes Theatre. There is a stone gateway with "Department of Ichthyology and Fisheries Science" sign on it.
- Proceed down the driveway and turn left into the parking area. The DIFS is housed in the historic brown stone building housing. Enter reception from the quad on the North side of the building. Mrs Faith Faithfull is the DIFS secretary 046-6038415/6.
