Identity Categories
A number of identity categories have been formally defined, and these are listed below. Each category has a separate page that presents a definition of who fits into the category, as well as information about the resources people in that category are eligible to access. Where possible supporting information is provided about the application process, etc. This is a living document, and should be regularly updated to reflect current practice within the University.
The list below is exhaustive; these are the only categories that have currently been approved. Thus all members of the University community must fit into one of the categories below in order to be properly recognised.
There is a catch-all category, guest, for those occasional situations where this is not possible. However use of this category is generally indicitive of something that bears further investigation, possibly with a view to establishing another formal category.
