Wireless Hotspots

The map below shows the approximate locations of wireless hotspots on Rhodes' campus. Coverage within individual buildings varies, but more information about a particular hotspot can be obtained by clicking on the marker. This should give you some idea of what to expect.

Normal Rhodes wireless hotspots covering some or all of the building indicated.
These hotpots have some form of redundant electrical power, meaning that they should be available for use during load shedding or other power outages. Clicking on the marker will give you an idea of how long you can expect these hotspots to be available during a power outage.
Additional, temporary coverage made available for special events, such as the National Arts Festival or conferences.  Clicking on the marker should show the dates such coverage is available for.  Not all temporary coverage may not be reflected on this map.

Note that the above map is generated from our wireless management system and automatically updated as new coverage is deployed.

A map showing the historical state of wireless coverage at the start of the 2013/2014 wireless renewal project is available at http://goo.gl/maps/4ZtMM.
