Masters & Doctoral
Course Manager: Dr Caroline Khene
Masters and Doctoral degrees in Information Systems are currently offered through both the Science and the Commerce Faculties. Candidates shall not be admitted to the Masters degree until at least two years after admission to the degree or status of Bachelor or one year after admission to the degree of Bachelor with Honours in such a Faculty. The Masters degree is currently offered by thesis submission only. In order to enrol for a Doctoral degree, candidates must be in possession of a Masters degree or be permitted to upgrade from the Masters degree by the Board of the Faculty.

No person shall be admitted as candidates for the Masters degree unless they have obtained the approval of the Board of the Faculty, upon the recommendation of the Head of Department.
Supervisors
Since the degree is by thesis, candidates will be supervised by an academic staff member in the Department and examined by external examiners. The Faculty shall appoint a supervisor, or supervisors, to advise a candidate. At least one of the supervisors appointed must be a member of staff.
